I received my PhD in 2019 through a joint doctorate between Ilia State University (Georgia) and Ghent University (Belgium). My research was mainly focused on using genetic and morphological methods for delimiting the species boundaries, and linking species morphological similarities with their phylogenetic relationships. Currently, I'm mostly interested in evolutionary and developmental morphology, and its underlying functional aspects.
